Slip Tanks

Designed for small scale (1gal of slurry) to mass-production (20gal+ of slurry), this slurry tank is designed to reduce labor time, speed turn-around time and limit handling and exposure of the casting slurry to maximize consistency and efficiency. Made of smooth stainless steel, these tanks are easy to clean, sparkproof and durable.

Key features:

1. Deair, age and supply casting slurry all in the same tank.

     a. Dump the slip in directly from the ball mill

     b. Deair in the tank

     c. Age (if desired) in the tank

     d. Feed slurry from the tank to the doctor blade

         (with or without filter).

2. Easily mobile using cart or dolly…use the same tank from

    slurry prep room to clean-room.

3. Turn around time from ‘end of cast’ to ‘ready to fill’ is ~20min.

     a. This assumes multiple stirring propellers available.

     b. The vast majority of wetted surfaces are disposable to

          avoid cross-contamination.

These tanks have been performance proven in manufacturing for 20+ years, and are specifically built to be the easiest to use, easiest to maintain, and easiest to clean.

They also work well for water-based emulsion (or other) binders, but are 100% air operated to facilitate solvent based casting without risk.

They work extremely well with TCW’s deairing station and slurry level control system, but neither is mandatory for you to be thrilled with your slurry conditioning tank.
